Tennis Great Maria Sharapova and Canon Team Up To Raise Awareness for Breast Cancer

October is breast cancer awareness month and Maria Sharapova and Canon are doing their part to help support the cause —they have teamed up to create breast cancer awareness with the Company's "Pink" campaign.

It's All Diamonds For Maria Sharapova and Canon Powershot Cameras

Maria Sharapova and her dog Dolce will have starring roles in another campaign for Canon Powershot Cameras.

The new TV spot for Canon PowerShot shows fans with Elph cameras approaching Sharapova and asking to take a picture. Unfortunately, the picture they want (to her growing chagrin) is of her dog, Dolce. The ad will break on the first day of the 2008 U.S. Open. As part of the promotion and in anticipation of the tournament, the Sharapova will unveil five diamond-encrusted Canon PowerShot Elph cameras during an invitation-only event at "Canon Center Court" on Aug. 20 at South Street Seaport. The cameras, which will be given away, are worth around $12,000 each. The contest will run from August 20 to October 20 on the Powershot website.

Maria Sharapova Shows She Is A One-Woman Powershot

Maria Sharappova and a slew of lookalikes took to the streets of Manhatten this week to help Canon unveil its latest line of PowerShot digital cameras.

Throughout the week, the lookalikes will be canvassing New York City posing for pictures.

The dozen or so "Maria Sharapovas" as they have been dubbed, will also pop up in different New York City spots, part of a street-team effort in which consumers in the Big Apple can pose for pictures with the faux tennis stars.
